Web Design for Small Businesses & Startups

Websites and brands that say what you do, show up in local search and turn visitors into customers.

A small business website has to earn its keep

For a small business or a startup, the website is usually the first salesperson and often the only one working at 9pm. It has to say what you do, for whom, and why you rather than the business two search results down. It has to load fast on a phone, make the next step obvious, and show up when someone in your area searches for what you sell. Deehvine Marketing designs and builds websites and brands for small businesses and startups in Providence, Rhode Island, and across New England, and remotely for companies further afield.

What we plan for on a business website

  • A clear proposition above the fold: what you do, who it is for, and the one action you want a visitor to take.
  • Service or product pages that answer real questions, including pricing signals, process and timelines, so the first call is with someone already qualified.
  • Local search foundations: consistent business name and contact details, service-area pages only where they are genuinely useful, structured data, and a site that supports your Google Business Profile.
  • Proof: real work, real testimonials with permission, credentials and the people behind the business.
  • Conversion paths: booking, quote requests, calls and forms that work on a phone and reach you immediately.
  • Speed and stability: Core Web Vitals treated as part of the build, because slow pages lose customers and rankings.
  • Content you can edit, so a price change or a new service does not wait for a developer.

Startups: launch with a brand and a site that agree

New companies often commission a logo, then a website, then a pitch deck, from three different people. Because we do branding and web design under one roof, the identity and the site are designed together, which is faster and produces a launch that looks intentional. When the product itself is digital, our UX/UI and digital product work covers the application as well as the marketing site.

When a redesign is the right call

If your current site has content and search rankings but looks dated, loads slowly or fails on phones, a redesign that keeps the URLs and content while fixing structure, speed and mobile usability is often the best investment. We handle redirects and measurement so you do not lose what you have built.

How we work with businesses

  1. Discover. Your customers, your competitors, what the current site does and does not do, and the numbers you are trying to move.
  2. Strategy. Site map, page plan and the search terms each page should own.
  3. Design. Phone-first designs of the key pages with the conversion path built in.
  4. Build. WordPress build, integrations with booking, payment, CRM or email tools, accessibility and performance checks.
  5. Launch and grow. Analytics and Search Console setup, conversion tracking, training, and a review of real results after launch.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a small business website cost?

Our inquiry form asks for a budget range from under $1,500 to over $10,000, and we work across that range. A focused site with a few well-written pages sits at the lower end; a site with booking, e-commerce or custom features sits higher. You get a fixed price in writing.

How long does it take?

Typically four to ten weeks. The schedule depends most on how quickly content and photos are ready.

Do you offer SEO?

Every site we build has search-friendly structure, metadata, structured data and clean URLs built in, and we set up Search Console and analytics at launch. Ongoing content and link-building programs are scoped separately when they make sense for your market.

Do you work with businesses outside Rhode Island?

Yes. Most of our process runs remotely, and we work with companies across New England and further afield.
